Located in the heart of the Scottish Borders with the ancient marketing town of Selkirk only 4 miles the world famous town of Melrose 10 miles and the City of Edinburgh 40 miles away making this a fantastic base for your holiday. Close by the beautiful Bowhill House & country estate with woodland adventure playground theatre tea room horse riding and clay pigeon shooting Abbotsford House (home of Sir Walter Scott) Melrose Abby Melrose RFC championship golf courses of Roxburghe Samye Ling Buddhist temple and Glentress forest the UKs leading mountain bike centre are all within easy reach. Leisure facilities: trout fishing. Games room: on main floor large spacious room with table tennis piano and board games. The accommodation is arranged over four floors and offers FIVE large bedrooms all with stunning views and handmade Duxiana beds: on the first floor 1 king-size zip-and-link with en-suite bathroom with shower over bath and WC. On the second floor accessed via a stone spiral staircase 1 master super-king zip-and-link with en-suite bathroom with roll-top bath with shower over and WC. Fourth floor accessed via a stone and wooden spiral staircase (top tower) 1 king-size zip-and-link with en-suite shower room with WC. Two separate WC s situated on the main floor and wet-room situated on third floor (tower). On the first floor the great hall: with huge stone fireplace with open fire (logs included) beautiful views and ample seating. Sitting room: with flatscreen TV Freeview DVD CD hi-fi and ample seating. Study/bar: with desk Wi-Fi and an array of books. Study: on first floor tower accessed via a stone spiral staircase beautiful historic room with wing back chairs woodburner (logs included) and books.
